A mere 24 trail miles after Hiker Heaven is Casa de la Luna, the home of trail angels Joe and Terrie Anderson. Many hikers like to play up the contrasts between the über-organized Saufleys and the more laid back approach of the Anderson’s, however, essentially they are just different variations on the same theme. Big hearted fun loving people who give their all to the hiking community, the Anderson’s are renowned for their colorful caches, nightly taco salad and memorable parting snap shot!
